JP is a versatile, proactive and results-oriented attorney, CPA and advisor with an extensive list of accomplishments accrued over 20 years of experience. He is an entrepreneurial and exceedingly motivated professional with high ethical standards and a keen business sense. JP maintains profound and proven commitment to identify, address and resolve legal, compliance, forensic and regulatory issues and disputes helping individuals and businesses solve their problems and seize opportunities.
JP integrates a breadth of knowledge into the specialized fields of business law, tax, wills, estates & trusts, employment law and accounting. He is admitted to practice Public Accounting and Law in Florida, Texas and Puerto Rico. He received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Puerto Rico in 1995 and 2004, respectively. He also holds a MBA with focus in Finance from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management, which he completed in 1999, and earned an LLM from Northwestern University's School of Law in 2009. He started his private practice in 2002 having held positions at Coopers & Lybrand, Pricewaterhouse Coopers and Banco Popular de Puerto Rico before doing so. JP also is a Certified Valuation Analyst, a Master Analyst in Financial Forensics and a Certified Fraud Examiner.
Liella holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Education with a focus in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. She joined NAC as a part-time assistant in 2010 while attending college. Upon completing her undergraduate work in 2011, she joined the firm on a full time basis as a bookkeeper. She is currently a Tax and Accounting Associate at the firm focusing on tax planning and compliance for corporations, partnerships and individuals. She also works with financial statement preparation, payroll services and payroll tax reporting. Further, Liella provides support in litigation related financial analyses and assists on legal matters on an as needed basis. Liella has an innate ability to explain concepts making her an invaluable resource for our clients.
Teresa holds a Bachelors' degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico, Cayey Campus. She has held positions at the Orocovis City Hall Internal Audit Division and Human Resources Division. She also help positions at the Puerto Rico Department of Education where she prepared scholarly statistical reports, implemented procurement processes and property & equipment controls, developed budget analysis reports, reviewed bank reconciliations and executed other administrative procedures. Teresa helps customers maintain accurate accounting records and comply with government requirements via the performance of bookkeeping functions and the preparation and filing of payroll, income tax, property tax and other returns. She also provides assistance in legal related matters.
